Learning Objectives

• Master in Clinical Psychoanalysis
• Upon successful completion of this programme, graduates will be able to:
• Demonstrate advanced and critical knowledge of psychoanalytic theory
• Engage with classical and contemporary psychoanalytic frameworks, their historical development, epistemological foundations, and relevance to contemporary clinical practice.
• Apply psychoanalytic concepts in clinical practice
• Analyse unconscious processes, including transference, countertransference, resistance, repetition, and symptom formation, within diverse clinical settings.
• Develop advanced clinical listening and interpretative skills
• Employ psychoanalytic methods of listening, observation, and interpretation to formulate clinically sound and ethically responsible interventions.
• Integrate psychoanalysis within an interdisciplinary framework, including:
• Art and creative practices as symbolic, expressive, and therapeutic dimensions of psychic life
• Social exclusion and inclusion studies, examining the impact of marginalisation, inequality, and social structures on subjectivity
• Wellbeing and health perspectives, situating psychoanalysis within broader mental health and care frameworks
• Somatic and constellation-based approaches, exploring embodied, relational, and systemic dimensions of psychological experience
• Engage critically with the embodied and somatic dimensions of subjectivity
• Analyse the relationship between psyche, body, movement, and trauma, integrating psychoanalytic insight with somatic awareness within appropriate professional and ethical boundaries.

• Critically reflect on one’s own subjective position, clinical limitations, and ethical obligations as a psychoanalytic practitioner.
• Address trauma, diversity, and social determinants of mental health
• Examine how trauma, cultural context, diversity, and social exclusion shape psychic structures and clinical presentations.
• Formulate psychoanalytic assessments and clinical case formulations
• Develop coherent case formulations grounded in psychoanalytic theory, clinical observation, supervision, and reflective practice.
